Guilford Professional Firefighters Help Assemble Bikes For The Holidays
GUILFORD, CT- As the patch on our jackets state, "we Do It All', Guilford Firefighters jumped into action and were excited to help out with a local organization called Roots4Relief with their Wishing Wheels Holiday Bike Drive. Firefighters joined other volunteers and helped assembled new bikes that will be delivered to local families. Based in Guilford, CT, Roots4Relief empowers children to make a difference by providing them with the necessary opportunities to give back to their community, and identify their own philanthropic potential.
From the Wishing Wheels website- Four years ago, we had a simple idea...To bring the joy of the holidays to as many children as possible, with the gift of a new bicycle and helmet. Many of us have memories of getting that one special present on Christmas morning. Please join us as we help create those lasting memories for those in need, by making a donation to The Wishing Wheels Holiday Bike Drive! With your help, over the last three years, we have provided over 400 bicycles and helmets to underprivileged children in our community and throughout. We want every child to experience the joy of getting a brand new bike.
