COMING SOON - Public Safety Training Center

The Guilford Fire Department and Guilford Police Department are proud to announce the upcoming installation of the Public Safety Training Center during the first week of June 2022. The installation of this facility is a capital project roughly two years in the making and serves as a symbol of the strong partnership and collaboration between both agencies to continue providing high quality public safety services to the Town of Guilford. The training center will be located at the rear of the Guilford Public Safety Complex and will serve as a venue for both local agencies as well as regional public safety partners to ensure ongoing compliance with industry best practices, accreditation standards, and insurance requirements. For the fire department, the training center will serve as a venue for live burns, building searches, roof ventilation operations, and firefighter safety procedures. For the police department, the training center will provide a venue for a wide variety of scenario-based training including active shooter, de-escalation, and use of force.

With the upcoming installation of the training center, the public should expect some minor delays as the modular structure is delivered to the public safety complex starting June 1st. There will also be a large crane on site during the installation to maneuver the modular sections into place.
