Guilford Firefighters Begin Fire Safety Education For Local Schools

Fire Prevention Week is October 5 - 11, 2014. This year the theme is : Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives, Test Yours Every Month. Guilford Firefighters will be making their rounds again this year to visit the local elementry schools to talk about fire safety in and out of the home. Children will have the opportunity to learn how to get out of a house thats on fire by crawling through a smoke filled trailer. The smoke that is used, is completey harmless and simulates a fire in a home that children must safely escape from. Visits to Guilford Schools will begin on October 7 and end on October 10th.
