Guilford Professional Firefighters Complete Rigorous 80 Hour Training
Guilford Professional Firefighters recently completed a rigorous 80-hour Structural Collapse Technician Course. The Structural Collapse Specialist (Technician) course provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform rescues at structural collapse scenes due to natural disasters or terrorist incidents. Firefighters attended this 80-hour course which included face-to-face (Instructor-Led) training that was divided into three majors topics:
Construct Emergency Shoring (Interior and Exterior)
Lifting and Moving Techniques
Breaching and Breaking
Once the course was complete, members had to perform difficult practical evolutions for state evaluators and are now in the process of completing their written exams for final certification.
