Crews Battle Stubborn Fire On Whitfield Street

Crews responded to a fire located on Whitfield Street. This was a stubborn fire as it was located inside walls of an older style house. The type of construction allowed fire to travel inside walls to the attic. Conditions changed quickly as the fire made it's way to the attic. The finished attic presented a challenge for fire crews as the fire continued to extend above the ceiling. Crews pulled ceilings down to chase the fire and were able to control the situation and extinguish the fire.
