The Guilford Fire Department is committed to promoting a safer community through ongoing public education and fire prevention initiatives. Department personnel regularly engage with residents, schools, businesses, and community organizations to provide education on fire safety, emergency preparedness, smoke alarm awareness, and injury prevention. Through station tours, school visits, community events, and outreach programs, the department strives to empower citizens with the knowledge and resources needed to prevent emergencies before they occur. By fostering strong relationships with the community and emphasizing proactive safety practices, the Guilford Fire Department remains dedicated to reducing risk, protecting lives, and enhancing the overall resilience of the community.

  • CPR / AED Class

    Learn how to recognize a cardiac emergency, perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED). This hands-on class gives you the skills and confidence to act while help is on the way.

  • Stop the Bleed Class

    Learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take action using direct pressure, wound packing, and a tourniquet. This hands-on class teaches practical skills you can use before emergency responders arrive.

  • Fire Prevention Week

    Learn about Fire Prevention Week and explore simple steps you can take to prevent fires at home. Find helpful tips on smoke alarms, escape planning, and everyday fire safety.

  • Ride Along

    Interested in a career in emergency medicine or currently enrolled in an EMT class? Request a ride-along to spend a day with our EMS team and see what the job is like firsthand.

  • Station Tour

    Request a tour of the fire station to see our apparatus and equipment up close. Meet the firefighters on shift and learn more about what they do to serve our community.
