Established in 1852, it is
staffed by about 80
volunteer firefighters and
20 career firefighters, and one clerical personnel. Guilford's fire protection is provided through a combination system of career and volunteer personnel. The organization derives its strengths from a diverse group of individuals. These dedicated individuals are responsible for the protection of life and property within the town of Guilford. These talented firefighters respond from five strategically located fire stations to over 3,000 emergencies a year. The Fire Department promotes health and wellness programs with complete physical exams as required by OSHA and the National Fire Protection Association's 1500 Standard on Firefighter Health and Safety. |
